Divya Srinivasan

Divya s a sculpture artist who works with wood, ceramics, and explores natural and living materials in her environment.
she says:
I’m a multidisciplinary designer with a background in Materials Science. Prior to MDes, I focused on soft materials research and worked in the additive manufacturing industry for several years. I have a broad range of interests, including sustainable design, art and ceramics, biodesign, community-based design, and debating the social and environmental ethics of new technology. In my free time, I love crafting, taking care of my many houseplants, and exploring new places and restaurants.

Divya was awarded the MDes Design For Good Grant from UC Berkeley for her upcoming work at the Creekside Arts Residency. The grant, “Designing for People and Planet,” supports students in engaging in social impact work and in their efforts to address the climate crisis.
