CREEKSIDE ARTS Retreats offer artists an opportunity to reflect, create and explore in an inspiring setting among the Redwoods of Northern California. Preference will be given to applications that demonstrate a project focus on what is dear to our community: land, place, community, nature, climate, education, and social and political consciousness and justice. We welcome artists from a broad range of creative disciplines, including print makers, illustrators, painters, photographers, sculpture artists, ceramicists, dancers, performers, writers, playwrights, poets, musicians, mixed media artists and creatives of all types.

The retreats are an opportunity for artists to focus on their work and enjoy the beauty of the surroundings. There are 8 members of the Creekside Arts collective, who live on the Creekside Arts grounds. Artists are invited to make themselves at home on the Creekside Arts grounds, join our weekly community gatherings, and focus on their art in a beautiful, natural setting. There may or may not be other visiting artists here at the same time. Artists are expected to share their work with the Creekside Arts collective and neighbors, which can take the form of an evening showing or artist talk. Resident artists who are interested in doing a larger community showing can discuss this option with us and we are happy to help support and organize.

Each artist is provided a fully equipped private living space and a separate, private work space/studio. Indoor and outdoor performance spaces are available.

Retreats are a minimum of two weeks. Longer stays encouraged.

$1050 – $1450 for two week retreat. Rate varies depending on lodging/studio needs. Rate reduced for longer retreat stays.
